How to rotate a PDF and save the page orientation

Rotating a page in a reader can change only the on-screen view. To share a copy with altered orientation, use Rotate PDF and download the generated file. The selected angle is applied to every page in the document.

Open Rotate PDF

Choose the angle before processing

Sign in, select an unlocked PDF and choose a clockwise angle of 90, 180 or 270 degrees. A sideways page may need 90 or 270 degrees; an upside-down page usually needs 180. This angle is added to the rotation already stored in the PDF. Keep the original for comparison and avoid repeatedly processing a copy without checking the accumulated changes.

Every page receives the same rotation

This version does not provide an individual page selector for rotation. If the PDF mixes correct and incorrect pages, rotating the whole document will not automatically identify which ones need fixing. For a particular range, extract it with Split PDF and work on that copy. Combining the documents again requires checking their page order.

Download the new copy and open it in a reader

After processing, download the rotated PDF and open it outside the tool to confirm orientation. Downloading does not automatically replace the original on your device. Give the copy a clear name and check any printing or recipient requirements. Editing does not guarantee that digital signatures remain valid; preserve the original signed document when verification matters.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rotate only one page in this tool?

Not directly. Rotation affects every page in the selected PDF. Extract a range first if you need to work on it separately.

Does rotation compress my PDF?

The purpose is to change orientation. File size reduction is not guaranteed; use the compression tool for that task.
